Default Adobe Master Collection CS4
A friend was nice enough to give me this $2,000 program.

Now I don't even know where to begin. So far the most I've done is created the following print screen image of all the programs it comes with.

I know a little-bit about Dreamweaver. Thats what I built my old website with.

I know a very-little-bit about indesign (used it once to create a presentation) and photoshop (the program I'm most interested in, and will definetly buy a book and read up on).

But what absolutely amazing things can these other programs do?

I tried a million times to create a flash program with the old program (it had a different name), even bought books about it, and just couldn't grasp it. Graphics and websites are no longer a focus of mine but Id like to get back into in case I decide to go to grad school for architecture one day. I do minimal graphics in my current job. I feel this suite would even overwhelm someone who does graphics day-in-day-out, its that powerful.

Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign are the programs Ive used at school and working for an architect. Photoshop is basic image editing. Illustrator is similar but is kind of a cross-over with CAD and InDesign is layout. Thats my basic descriptions.

I tried a million times to create a flash program with the old program (it had a different name), even bought books about it, and just couldn't grasp it. That was when it was a Macromedia product....
I went to night classes through them to learn how to use it-
They were a nightmare, everyone had problems trying to grasp how it worked- but once understood-
a piece of cake- now adobe has reworked it, and I can't make heads or tails of any of the newer versions

My wallet hurts.
Maybe it was one of those 'free' versions. I have some of those myself.

No this is the original real program. Although my friend didn't pay 2,000 for it, he works with computers and was able to get it for me. I don't trust torrents or any free executable files. Even if its a good friend that gave it to you who says the file where he got it, unless he originated the file itself isn't corrupted.

Unfortunately I have to use those. Thankfully Ive got trustworthy sources and never had any issues. I just cant afford the price of the real programs and cant complete my projects without them.

Best way to learn is to ask others who have used it. Id be nowhere with it otherwise.
