Yeah I know. Upload speeds in Malta are crap but at least the connection has unlimited bandwidth. I used to have 1mbit up yesterday.

The tech used here supports it as well with one company going the optical fiber way and the other with I'm with going for DOSCIS 3.0 since their infrastructure is based on coaxial cable for internet and tv, both support upload speeds far higher than 2-4mbits.

I guess they do it ta save bandwidth on their end.

Yeah it's pretty much like the server you're downloading from is next to you.

You got me curious as to what Comcraps speeds are like now; much better than what they were before but man, 100 down is awesome! [thumbup]

30 down is not slow either.

I need to take this crapola cisco router they gave me out of the loop, used to have a simple modem connected to my router.

Nice. How much a month?

This is mine, but only cable and very standard in Sweden. Wish I had fiber for lower pings. (usually 10-20 ms lower)

I pay about 37 euro a month.

Why complain about that, Australia is still on ADLS2+ (we are trying to roll out fibre, but it's been extremely slow). I'm paying $100 per month and connected at 9Mbps down with 800Kbps up with 200GB quota.

Used to be only 50GB quota for same price and speeds but recently got a huge quota increase, but now uploads are included in the quota, good thing I don't upload much.

I pay 65 euro per month. Prices are a bit higher than Sweden but overall they're getting lower and lower and as for coverage it's 100% of Malta. Anyone anywhere on the islands can get 100mbits.

I think I know where I want to retire - you've some crazy fast old school cars, great weather, great women (I expect) and now fast internets...

+1 (actually +2 if my misses is interested)

Wonder what the jobs are like over there. I'm planning on getting into mining where the pay can easily go over $100,000 per year. Although when I retire from mining my next job will likely pay less, but will give me a lot more free time.

Well I wasn't really complaining. But good always want better. I know we are very lucky when it comes to technology advancement in Sweden. I've had 100/10 for close to 7 years now, but with different ISP:s.

I am also glad there are no monthly limits. That would suck. Feel for those of you that have to deal with lousy Internetz!
