Huge waste of money.
Stop a crime before it happens? That is how they are marketing it but not how it will work. They would only shine that light on someone when a guy behind 50 TVs happens to actually see a crime in process. It may deter, but chances are, the light will be shined on you during the crime process, not before and that is if you are even noticed by the guy behind the camera. Plus, all you got to do is hide your face for plausable deniability with the current cameras that are in place. Geez, you would think that the current cameras in place would have been a good enough deterent, added a red light is going to change that? Shoot, in a couple years there might be some huge lawsuits due to some happy trigger camera guys. Someone gets shined in the face, falls and cracks their head open or something. Might be giving an advantage to color blind criminals? lol. |
