I haven't had much regard for Apple before, but this is ridiculous.
http://fudzilla.com/home/item/25131-...angular-phones So what exactly would a phone/tablet following these guidelines look like? [rofl] |

I totally understand the need to protect your IP, but you have to wonder just how stupid the top brass at Apple are to even consider this kind of action. They are quickly becoming a parody of themselves, and I give them five years before they implode into a narcissistic crater now that Jobs has gone.

Judging by the lack of articles anywhere else, I don't think this is happening. http://liliputing.com/2011/12/apple-...zzle-them.html http://www.firstpost.com/tech/apple-...9D-149465.html They've had the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 banned in some countries, at least for a temporary time period already. |

Apple just plain and simply loves to sue. I read somewhere they once tried to sue New York City because it's used an apple in it's new logo.
They also tried to sue an Australian fresh food Supermarket (Woolworths) because it used an apple in their logo. None of the apples even look like Apples logo. As for different phone designs, maybe Samsung could create similar looking phones to the Galaxy Nexus. That phone looks like pure sex, such a sexy looking phone. If it wasn't overpriced here in Australia and have a rather weak GPU I'd buy it out right. |

They aren't filing the suite because they think they have a chance at winning, they're filing because they're trying to slow Samsung down because there's bad blood between the 2 right now. Trying to trademark the rectangle? FFS. |

I haven't had much regard for Apple before, but this is ridiculous. What's next? Imagine if car manufacturers did the same? Should Ford demand that other manufacturers stop using the traditional '4 wheels' design? Should they not be allowed to have round steering wheels? Maybe they should be stopped from using clear glass windscreens? |
