I used to eat all things peanut (and cashew) related for years but for the past year or two I can't tolerate it. Last night I was up nauseous and am still right now but feel a little better. I just ate a little on some triscuits. it was natural peanut butter too.
It's not an allergy is it? I don't have any respiratory symptoms or rashes anywhere. everything I pull up on google brings up pregnant mom diets involving peanut intake. I'll just stick to almonds and almond butter since nothing happens to me when I keep them in my diet. I did used to get sick from peanuts as a kid and everyone thought I had stomach bugs but I swear it was the reeses cup or other peanut candy I was given by adults since I would be up all night with the that taste in my mouth. could it be that the intolerance came back? or could the high fat content be the culprit and not having a gallbladder be the main issue here? (I ate peanuts for a while post surgery with no issues for at least five years) I feel the same when eating split pea soup and wonder if it's a legume thing. |
