Default 2012 Fall NE/Mid-Atlantic Get Together
This is a yearly Get Together for ALL LEVELS of golfers.

This is a fun time for us to play some golf with fellow THPers and hang out together off the course. There is also some competition to keep it interesting (The Jacket will be making a return we hope) and there will be some surprises too.

OH and cookies, yes there will be cookies...

If you want to see some of the past get togethers this group has had you can visit these threads:

http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...J-NY-Or-E-Ohio
http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...-Fellow-THPers
http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...Golf-Gathering

We also want to encourage you to bring your family or spouse. In the past years, a few "non golfing" spouses have joined us and even teed it up. (Mrs. Golf4Life is a prime example of this. She came to the first gathering basically to hit a few balls but mostly to ride around. She had a blast, teed it up for the entire round and now wouldn't dream of missing a round.) Hagerstown and York, PA offer lots of shopping opportunities and Gettysburg/Hagerstown is full of historic parks for the family to visit.

Here are the details for the 2012 Fall NE/Mid-Atlantic Get Together

Dates: Weekend of October 13-14
Location: Gettysburg, PA area

Course Options: These are the courses to choose from based the list of suggested courses. They were chosen based on cost, not already having an event, and around Fall aeration schedules. All cost between $35 - $50 including cart for prime weekend times.

Saturday's round will be a mid morning round (first tee time will be around 11am) & Sunday's will be early (first tee time will be 8:30ish). This allows folks who are coming for Saturday only or who don't want to have the expense of a hotel room on Friday night to travel and for us to get 18 in on Sunday and allow those traveling long distances the opportunity to get home at a decent time for work/school on Monday.

A. Quail Valley - Littletown, PA
B. Springwood - York, PA
C. Oakmont Green - Hamstead, MD
D. Honey Run - York, PA
E. Bridges - Abbottstown, PA
F. Black Rock - Hagerstown, MD
G. West Winds - New Market, MD
H. Mountain View - Fairfield, PA

Please select two courses that you would like to play and post them by September 23rd. The top two courses will be where we play. I'll tally the count and post the courses as well as hotel info on Monday Sept. 24th.

October typically retains beautiful beach weather in the mid-Atlantic. I'd vote for a weekend in rehoboth beach. Families welcome, there is plenty for non-players to do.
Date A, Columbus day weekend.

Thanks! Meant Fredrick but typed Fredricksburg. That's what I get for typing, reading a biography on General Burnside, and watching Wimbledon all at the same time.

A for weekend

Any of the places are fine. But I'd prefer DE or Gettysburg or MD

Weekend or day trip are both fine.

Dates: What ever will get the most people out for the rounds.

Location: C. PA (Gettysburg area) would be my preference since there are some really great courses up that way.

Format: B. Weekend

Since I'm retired and have plenty of free time I'd be glad to help out with anything you need done Mary.

Thanks Mike! I'll let you know after we get this first bit of housekeeping out of the way. Hope your back is doing well because I sure want to be able to play some golf with you this year.

Dates: Doesn't matter to me! I'm good with all 3 at the moment.
Location: A. Delaware (Rehoboth Beach) ((I could help with the setup MaryC!))
Format: Doesn't matter to me to though

This is going to be great! Just hope I'm not feeling sick like I was last time when the fall get together happened
