So, this thread may exist somewhere but I searched and couldn't find it. I'm looking for good ideas on fun league and/or mini-tournament formats among members. Both season-long leagues, and then miniature events that could be played within an existing group, but that isn't the purpose for that group.

One example was a handicapped 9-hole/match double elimination match play tournament that a club I was a member at had. It was open to any member, but about 2 dozen of us signed up. There was a designated time to play each week, but if you couldn't make that you could make arrangements with your opponent to play any time in that week. It was fun and different than anything else going on.

So, what are your favorite formats? Individual, team, season-long or not, doesn't matter. Would love to hear some ideas.
