Default so there i was...
10:50 am

first hole, 206 yard par three

hungover as hell

30 or so person gallery around the tee box

ole hits his shot well, seeking the pin. ball lands just shy of the pin, checks up into the pin, and lands just left of the cup.

get up to the green, divot was less than a foot in front of the cup, ball stopped six inches left of the cup.

i'll have to wait for another day to buy a keg...

If it's for birdie, I always make 'em put 'em.

Absolutely. No matter the length of a birdie putt, there are no gimmies, at least in our match play league.

Other events are stroke play (including the league championship), and yeah, there are no gimmies. Which, can make you a little goofy in the head after picking up 1-2 footers most of the season.

BTW, nice shot Ole. "Checked up" a 200 + yd. shot? Kiss my....

The way this thread started I could have sworn it was Mr. Peterman from Seinfeld telling the story. Was it a shotgun or does this course start off with a 206 yard par 3? That would be pretty fucked up.

that maybe wasn't the correct 'terminology'

it landed a foot in front of the cup, 'kissed' the flag and stopped six inches to the left of it.
