Default Intimidating Golf Outing
So today I am going to spend the entire afternoon golfing and drinking beer that I'm not paying for.

Should be an excellent afternoon, right? Maybe. My foresome includes The Boss, his Aide, his Chief of Staff, and myself.

Methinks this won't be the day to play "whoever hits the most golf carts that don't belong to our group gets a buck".

Sophisticated golf. I hope it doesn't suck.

I wouldn't feel comfortable golfing with other people other than my family or friends. That's because I'm terrible at golf and wouldn't want to emabarass myself.

Good Luck on the sophisticated golf YOM.

I'm just going to mind my business, smoke my cigar, and try to play well enough to not get picked on next week. If I shoot around 90, I'll be pleased. That's about my average for this time of year.

it's fun.

I played golf with the owners son at the sanctuary (the guy who owns remax owns this course, and the public isn't let on unless they make a donation to charity... this one group of four guys paid 10,000 bucks to a charity to play... and the girl who took me worked there the whole summer and she got to play ONE time). So this is bigger than mo is used to. Much bigger.

Except you tend to realize on the course that these guys are just like anyone else. Perhaps not drunken course debauchery, but they'll probably cus or throw a club. It probably won't be as formal as you expect, but prepare for it.

Get the golf cart up on two wheels.

Flip it over.

That's both fun and impressive. Have a good round.

I will say this, at least: When I am in the company of above average and/or "serious" golfers, I my game is always significantly better. I'm more focused, concentrated, and I get good tips and advice.

That's the other thing, no bumper carts.

Dang.

I will though, I'm sure it'll be a great afternoon. Just not the type of golfin' I'm used to.

I think that's true for most people.

I was always better in tournaments than in regular rounds because if i make a mistake in a tournament i keep concentration. If i make a mistake in a regular round, sometimes i lose it.

Five bucks says not.

It's happened. I've laughed.

And the president of the company thanked me for a nice afternoon. And for missing the putt.

Oh...Well you didn't tell me you had money and power...In that case, I'd do it and hide behind you....

And since you don't need it...I'm keeping my defaulted five bucks.
