Default Irons
We hashed and rehashed woods and drivers.

What are you guys favorite irons? I play a set of golfsmith cavity backs, but last night at the golfsmith store I hit both the new titleist blades and the newest mizuno blades. In my book, those two companies make the best blade irons. Too bad the mizuno set was like $800 and the titleist $900... i fell in love while hitting them.

I already have a full compliment of vokey rusty wedges (50, 54 and 58), and 975J driver and 980F 3 wood. If i were to buy the titleist blades irons, Titleist should think about sponsoring me.

Tell me about it. You should try a 57 or 58 sometime if you haven't. for me anyway, it gives me the ability to hit very high shots but i dont' ever slide right under it like i did with my 60. It's weird, I'm not consistent at all with a 60, but am very consistent with the 58. That 2 degrees is amazing.

again i recommend, check out a 58. Most of the height, less of the slide-right-unders.

I already hit my pitching wedge like a 60. I hit all my clubs very high, it's nice on approach shots, but I'm hitting a 9 iron at 100 yards. Wedge is for 75 and in. I never used to hit the ball so damn high, but for about 3 years now I have and can't seem to correct it for anything.

i play cleveland woods, wedges, irons. love them also love the 60 degree rusted cleveland wedge. I also have it in a 53 degree. about the only clubs that i carry in my bag nowadays are my putter which is a white hott and a Reid Lockhart 56 degree wedge that i won at a golf outing a few seasons back that i absolutely love for some reason. fucking club prolly isn't a penny over $70, but i hit that thing perfect. i love the 60 degree from 100 and in. The rusty's can spin like none other.

I have and use a 60 very regularly, but don't really slide under unless I'm in really high rough. I have cut it thin a couple times and sent the ball screaming across the green. Hit my dad right in the leg once while he was tending the pin.

i was real close to going with the cleveland 60 degree gunmetal wedge, but i had my 53 rusted wedge for about a year and loved it so much, i decided to stick with what i know works for myself. heard nothing but great things about the gunmetal though.

you know, im not a huge fan of cleveland wedges, my vokey vokey oil can 53* is my favorite, but the cleveland 60* is straight smooth, i put a rifle spinner shaft in there...solid pickup.
