How does Tiger go to #1 after the win, when he hadn't won in forever? I must look into this.

Today we learn alot about tiger and phil. I think they both have alot to prove again... phil had a shot at three Majors on sundays back 9's and only came away with one. Tiger didnt see the front page of a Leaderboard on sunday in about 2 years.

I'll tell ya, I think its Phils time and his year. I look for him to get too -27 and win by 4 strokes...

I don't know about any of you guys but I don't like Tiger anymore, he has become too much of a showman. I am a Phil fan, but I never disliked Tiger until now. Phil knocks a chip that rolls just by he tips his hat and smiles. Tiger does the same and acts like he was shot even though it was a great shot.

And what's with the two step after that big drive on Sat. Why?

Actually, I think people had been continuously building up everytime he lost (the whole pulling for the underdog thing).

I'd actually been on the 'phil needs to win a major' bandwagon since '01 when he lost to Payne Stewart. And especially rooted for him harder for whatever reason since Payne died. R.I.P.
Is that 'buildup' like rooting for the geeky kid to get laid in a 'coming of age' teenybopper flick? If so, I'll bet that BMF can understand the emotions.

Thats bold, but I am certainly not counting Phil out. I mean, he played like shit yesterday when you think of it. He only hit like 4 fairways! And still rolled....he is playing at an amazing level.

But Tiger is back man...I think that is what is so exciting. Those two are playing at some seriously high levels right now and now they are going head to head. Gotta love that shit
Im thinking is going to be decided by a stroke but with the way Phil has played in it last stroke play events i have to think he is the favorite.

Tiger's starting to play like he did 3 years ago again. He's just hitting shots that no one else can.

I'm happy too

I remember how nice it was when Tiger bursted on the scene. Even if people dont like him, you cant discount the fact that he revolutionized golf today and he made everyone else step up their games in order to catch up.

And now, with him seemingly "back", golf is set to explode all over again
That is sort of what I meant.

And sorry about leaving you off the list of happy.

Phil -21

Tiger -20

Thru 7
Tiger went driver-6 iron to go over a par 5. I wish I could do that.

You see, it would be driver-7 iron for me.

Default What Most Golf Fans Have Been Waiting For
Tiger against Phil today

Its not the Masters, but you cant really ask for much more as a golf fan. Both guys are playing at a very high level....I mean, who watched Tiger destroy the back nine yesterday?

He's two back, but it may as well be even up

Excited about watching golf? Sounds crazy, but today is going to be a great day.
