I play an 8.5 degree 975J titleist driver, vokey wedges, and golfsmith irons, and a golfsmith 3 wood.

I'm looking for a new 3 wood. And suggestions? I don't like the new titleist 3 woods nor the older titleist 3 woods (i do absolutely love my driver though). I've hit one of the newer callaway 3 woods (forget the model), and I'm thinking about going with that. Anyone have a 3 wood they really like that I should consider?
Ah, sorry, cannot help you, I have the Titleist 3-Wood and love it.

i used to have a taylor made 3-wood, but I hated the damn club. So I went out and got a Cleveland 3-wood. That club is the shit! All my clubs are clevelands. I have the TA-5 irons. Cleveland 400 cc driver 9 degree loft, cleveland 3-wood 13 degree loft, cleveland 7-wood 25 degree loft. my wedges are 53, 60 degree cleveland rusty wedges. Those wedges are awesome. can spin them llike a motherfucker. 56 degree Reid Lockhart wedge that I fell in love with. Won it at an outing a year ago. I tried out so many clubs, but I hit those clevelands so damn purel. Winn grips on all of them. Pretty much threw my 3 iron out of the bag when i got the 25 degree 7 wood. I can kak that sucker around 240 when I pure it. I hate the low irons. if I have to hit the 4-iron, i usually just rip it a little harder with the 5. that's usually as low as I go. I'm young, but I play old man golf in the sense that I use more woods rather than low irons.

It may because of Tiger, but I bought my new Nike Driver and the 3-Wood to go with it. I absolutely love it! I won't lie, I can BOMB the ball. I can hit that 3-Wood about 250, no joke. You cant hit it from the rough though, at all, but if you hit that sucker from the fairway...the ball flies!

It's simply the 12.5 degree, stiff flex 3 Wood that matches the Driver. I always go with the stiff flex cause my swing speed is pretty high. If you have a lower speed, I would go with the mid-flex.

I have an ERC (Callaway) 12.5 degree 3 wood with a stiff graphite shaft, and I absolutely love it.
It might be 13 degrees, I'm not sure.

Titleist 983E 8.5 driver, Callaway heavenwood, Titleist 690CB 3-pw and gap w, vokey 55 and 60 degree wedges. 2 ball mid putter.

I know that makes 15. Depending on where I play or how well I'm playing I'll either drop the 7 wood or the lob wedge. I almost always drop the lob wedge, I can hit the ball plenty high with the sand wedge.

I got a 2 iron with my set of 690CB/s but I've only hit it a few times. I probably should have left it in the plastic and resold it on e-bay. That's where I bought almost all of my clubs. I already had my measurements and waited till the right set came along.
I always give the pro shop a chance to match the price, but they hardly ever do.

my buddy that I play with a couple times a week during season bought that "Perfect Club" that you see in the infomercials on the golf channel all the time. I thought that the club would be a joke. you know, they say that it feels like a 7 iron but hits like a wood. I tell ya, i remember we were at Marion Oaks in Howell last season, on the 18th. Very Long par 5 to close out the round. 600+ from the tips. Blast my drive about 3 hundo, but ends up behind a little ass tree in the right side of roungh, chip out, get a bad bounce, ball ends up in the rough about 220 out. So i say, "hey Mark, give me that damn club, let me try it out." Kid you not, this club feels just like a 7 iron. First time ever with this club, I stripe it, land it on the green 15 feet right of the pin, 2 putt for par. that club feels awesome. Never would have guessed it.

yeah man it's legal. and I used it a few times after that throughout the year. It's fucking crazy. I swear to god, you put that club in your hands and it feels like a 7 iron. no joke. I might just buy one of those next year just for the hell of it. Use it from 215 out. plus, i tried it off the tee once, just threw the ball on the box, no tee and split the fairway.

That's always how it it the first time you hit a club. Buy the son of a bitch and see how it punishes you when you least expect it.

LMAO, aint that the truth. It always works better when it doesnt belong to you. Im going to be using my buddies Nike Slingshot Irons all next summer but dammed if ill buy a set. BTW he got a full set for $350. A local golf store was doing a deal a couple weeks ago. Whatever the Cheifs scored would be the percentage taken off merchandise. KC scored 49!

I love the Cleveland fairway woods too. I wouldn't buy anything else. I hit a Titleist driver too, but it is a D. Old school! I hit a Cleveland 15 and 19 degree wedges. I have Ram fx proset forged progressive blades. They are like the ones Watson used to win his second open. Sweet clubs. I also have a Cleveland SW and a Ping eye 2 copper LW

Damnit Phila! You play a titleist driver? That's the weird part, I love my driver, but don't like any of the titleist 3 woods i've ever hit.

That's my plan of where to buy the club (of course after i've hit the crap out of every club at a golf shop), that or use my old golf team buddies to buy me one at 30% below wholesale cost. That was the best part of college golf right there. Wedge that sells for 95 in a pro shop could be had for 40 though the golf program.

It might've been the ERC I hit. I forget. But i really liked it. 12.5 is low for a 3 wood. I'll probably go 13.5 or 14. I wasn't super fond of the ping, nike, titleist, the call steel head, or any of the others i hit. but I loved the callaway i hit. I'll check the ERC out this spring when i'll be making the purchase.

And I have irons 2-pitch, and 3 wedges. That makes 15. One college tourney i forgot to take out a club (either 2 or 3 iron, usually 3). Oops. Shoooooosh.
