Default New To The Game and Good At It!
Not me by any means, lol. I've been blown away by this guy and thought it a good thread for anyone out there really just starting out in the game. Not everyone starts out like this, I sure didn't, but I never worked this hard to learn when I started either,

My buddy Brad started playing golf as a kid with hand me down clubs that never really fit. He gave the game up quite a few years ago, but several friends got him back out on the course a couple times last year and he was hooked. I'm guessing Brad in his early/mid 30's, he ran into some health problems last year that sort of shut everything down, but a much healthier person by early summer Brad took the game up this year full tilt. Like everyone he struggle at first, but unlike everyone ne worked at the game like no one I have ever seen. The guy is like a sponge when he plays with others soaking up all the info he can get.

Brads not a little guy, lol. I've witnessed him drive the ball over 340 yards and have told him several times he would be one heck of a player once his short game came along. Guess what? Last weeks men's league he shot a 41 and playing him today he shot 42 on the front, (not sure the back as we were working on his game). The guy is about to jump the fence and need a really solid teacher, I could not be more proud of the guy.

Hope someone gets some interest out of this besides me, I'm simply blown away and wanted to share!

I'm working hard on it, would love for everyone to see him play. He owns a construction company and time away is limited.

Welcome.
That's ok buddy, my wording could have been much better. I was just telling about a buddy who has not yet joined here.

Thanks, but I really can't take any credit. He has several much better players who have worked with him, I've just tossed a tidbit here and there.

I have a few buddies that rarely ever play and still shoot low 40's. With ancient equipment, one still uses permission driver and woods and just bombs them 300 yards. I've been working at getting them to start doing it more, so that i can have a league team with friends next year (since my current golfing friends think they are gods who don't need me dragging them down) But I cant get them to.

This is freaking crazy, the guy shot a 38 yesterday. I caught up with him starting the back nine last night to play some skins figuring it would be easy money, lol. He won! Pretty hard to wrap my brain around someone playing this well his first year of golf, I sure didn't.
Got to be fun to see that...

It really is, he hit's his drive 290 on average and over 300 a lot of the time, in the fairway. He had like 3 eagle putts during that 9 hole round, haha.
