So the final verdict has been reached. Surgery Aug 27th. My acl is ruptured. I will be having Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction with cadaver parts and cartilage clean up. Soon as I can comfortably stand and walk I will be on the putting green working on my short game the rest of the year!

9 month for a full recovery the Ortho said, but he said I won't miss the golf season so thats a positive. I am setting a goal and I intend on reaching it. I cut my handicap in half this year and am down to a 14 (eventhough GHIN says 11.5 thats just a hot streak). So my goal is single digit for 2013 and I will work hard to get there!

You've got the right attitude to make a full recovery. Just got to put in the work and you will get to where you want.

One thing I will say is get a couple opinions on the proper course of action. Hopefully your insurance will allow you to choose the ortho you prefer. My advice is to get the most advanced surgeon you can find. Sadly there are some guys out there that operate like they are still in the 70s, get yourself the best Dr. Knife money can buy!

That sucks but atleast you wont miss next season. Knee injuries are the absolute worst. Just keep the good attitude and you'll be back and better than ever.
