I hear you shankosaurus. Rain is a nuisance for glasses wearers. I wear contacts most of the time now, but used to wear disposable contacts for golf and motorcycle. Have you ever tried disposable soft lenses. They are comfortable and throwing them in the trash when you're done is very convenient. They are fairly inexpensive now so you can wear glasses as usual and go with contacts when you need them, at little expense.

Worth a try if there isn't a health reason stopping you.

What do you consider a health issue? Would a phobia of touching your eye(me) count? I can't even watch my wife put her contacts in without feeling physically sick. My optometrist always gets a kick out of me when I come in because it takes her like 10 minutes to get enough dye in my eyes to be able to look into my retina properly. Then my eyes will literally tear up for at least ten minutes afterward. When I went in a few months ago for my checkup, my wife had to drive home because I couldn't see through the tears, and I NEVER let her drive if I'm in the car.

I have the rain gear, the towels, the rain hood, umbrella, all of that.

What I don't have is a way to keep the rain off my glasses. And for those of us that have to wear prescription lenses, rain sucks. I've tried a lot of different hats, whatever, but nothing seems to work. Not being able to see definitely cuts into the enjoyment factor.
That is why I listed a big hat as part of my rain equipment...to keep the glasses dry as possible. Here is a photo of the hat, on a sunny day but I wore it in the rain three days this week and it worked very well:

I actually sort of enjoy playing in the rain, but I run like a little girl at the first sight of lightning. Galvin Green makes awesome rain gear - it just beads up and rolls off you like it was never there.

I play well in the rain, it never bothered me. But as others have mentioned, preparation is key.

Umbrella, rain hat, top, and pants. Rain gloves are a MUST for me. I never use an extra towel, haven't had the need as wet grips don't affect me with the rain gloves. I will still shield the grips as best I can but I don't really do too much to keep them dry.

I don't, lol. If it starts raining on me on the course, I may stick it out, but I am not a wet weather golfer.

I stay away from rain. Showers are ok sometimes but when Mr. Electricity shows up, usually with his friend Mr. Hail as he often does this time of year its time to get out quick.

Thunderstorms around here get pretty crazy. You could have read a book outside when this one went through Wednesday morning. I doubt there was raingear or an umbrella that would have helped much. It dumped about 6" of hail just a couple km south of us.
