Default Dang Theft
Walked out to my truck (suv) to head out for the day to find it broken into for my clubs and 2 tool boxes.
New Di11's, new 910 d3 driver from my wife for birthday, new ping wedges, Garmin g5, and new callaway bag.
CRAP !!!
( also yet to tell my wife that my wedding band was in the soft pouch as well )
Middle of the night, had to set off security light in drive... Kinda brave. Tool boxes are 50lbs worth, grabbing clubs outta trunk is not quiet.
We were home...
CRAP !!!

I guess I'm wondering how many others have faced this this year?

Rough man, there have been several posts lately from people getting their clubs stolen. Good news is insurance should cover it, put its still a pain in the butt. Good luck man.

Sign me up. It sucks...big time! But insurance should cover you. It's the rainbow at the end of the storm.

Man that's rough. I hope it works out for you at some point down the road whether its getting the stuff back or being successful in an insurance claim.

I did file a police report. they were not very positive about seeing results in finding anything. They did say to keep eye on Craigslist and try pawn shops outside of 15 mile radius. Apparently that is the circle ouside of which the thieves think they are safe.
Unfortunately, we had a house fire 2 yrs ago and my agent is hinting I ought not file a claim. The 1000 deductable and the value, followed by a possible cancellation of the policy....
The whole thing stinks big.
I guess I hope they end up in good hands who appreciate the quality of product.

I had mine stolen a few years back in the parking lot at Golfsmith! I was on my way to play in a Saturday afternoon scramble and stopped in to buy a dozen balls...clubs were in the back seat of my F-150...was in there maybe 10 minutes...came out and found the window broken and my clubs gone! It really sucked.

Wow that is terrible. I am so sorry. I hate people who steal! People work hard for their money and it infuriates me when thieves with no conscience do things like this. How about car insurance? Should be covered I would think.

Mostly I wonder why?
Was it for the money or did they by chance know me enough to want what I had? (please no!! )
Is it all for waste or are they now in the hands of someone who could not afford (bought in garage sale, or pawn shop by other than the thieves? )

Our house is on a road less traveled. How would someone choose to walk up to my vehicle? None of my neighbors had anything stolen? Was it planned? Or random?

Hmmm. Wish I knew.

I feel your pain. I had clubs stolen twice this year, but it was at the course and not at home. Could you possibly claim it on your auto insurance instead of your homeowner's policy?

Wow, twice in one year! Dont play in stormy weather JT.

My homeowners, car, morotcycle, snowmobile...my business, BOP, workcomp, liability, all with the same company.
Along with the house fire, last year my business was broken into as well. So with 2 large claims in 2 yrs, all with one insurer...
Not so sure I want to file a 3-4000 dollar claim with a 1000 deductable. I hate that I pay for insurance and then when I need it, I'm told I ought not use it!!??
Not sure if I despise more, the theives who stole my stuff, or the insurance companies who rule my world.

Sorry to hear about the theft. Hopefully you can get insurance to handle it without cancellation, etc.

There will always be other companies that can pick up your insurance if this company cancels. I would be pretty surprised that they would cancel over this small of a claim though regardless of whether or not you had a larger one earlier in the year. Agents will always go with the side of caution, because if the policy gets dropped, they lose their renewal dollars. Not a knock on them, because they are being honest, but truth is that this is exactly what you pay for insurance for. If they spit out the dollars and choose to cancel you, then you can find another happy company waiting to take your money with in 15 minutes.

Pretty sad, but part of life these days. Sorry to hear it, especially the ring. Good luck with the insurance and getting everything replaced.
