I found a websites (http://www.sffl.comcastbiz.net/page14.html) that has a lot of detailed information on what holes the famous scenes were shot on.

One thing I found interesting is that the site was chosen because it was in Florida and had almost no palm trees on the property. it was mostly oak trees.

I am looking forward to playing down there. I am also playing Jacaranda East when I am down there. That looks like a fun one too.

Just got back from the trip. The Grande Oaks course is a private club, but overall, it is a decent track. The biggest surprise: there is very little association with the movie! The old clubhouse has since been replaced by a really nice clubhouse. Many of the holes have been redesigned. The course has a few "Gimmick" holes as well. The ninth fairways (yes, there are two around both sides of the lake) both go around to a single green. Left is pretty wide open with a few traps, right is narrow, but with no trouble except a few grassy mounds. 18 was really gimmicky. You have 2 greens (both with flags). One is a forced carry over water (and makes a better golf hole), the other is just straight away. Thankfully, the rest of the course was pretty decent. Very easy layout. Just wish I was playing my own ball vs a scramble.

I did take a few pictures that I will try to post later.

Default Playing at "Bushwood"
New to the site, but a long time golfer.

Next week, I get to play in a scramble at Grande Oaks CC in Ft. Lauderdale. For those who don't know it, this is the place where most of the golf scenes in Caddyshack were filmed! Course looks fairly easy, but I think it will be a cool experience.

Really looking forward to seeing it first hand and snapping some pics along the way. Our team should do well as we play well together, but we are all hitting new sticks this spring!

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

Good Luck. Hope you have a blast. Check to see if they have Bushwood Country Club gear for sale. If so, see if there is a way to buy it on line. Thanks

Make sure to yell "Turds!" and "Double Turds!" after two bad shots! It'll help you stay loose and have fun. Well, I know it would for me, at least.

"What's that sign say?!"
"No bare feet."
"What's that sign say?!"
"No fighting."
"What's it mean?!"
"No fighting"

Ah, such a great movie.
