I was just reading through aggro's thread about tips for walking a course and realized that I have the exact opposite problem. I purchased a 2 year pre-paid greens fee pass for a course with the stipulation that you MUST use a cart during your round ($12 for 9, $20 for 18, I'm assuming this is how they're making their money as the pass was very cheap for 2 years).
Now I know I'm guilty of rushing around in a cart, especially when I'm playing by myself and thinking about it now, I realize that its probably hurting my game. I dont have the time to cool down after a bad shot that you would normally get by walking to the ball. Bad shots seem to stay with me and even worse, bad putts seem to carry over into my tee shot on the next hole. With my golf season fast approaching (crossing my fingers for the 25th!), what are some tips you use to keep yourself in check when using a cart out on the course? |
