You need to keep your sugars up also. The heat really pulls everything out of you. I hydrate with water and gatorade and have a few snacks too. Power bars, nature valley bars and bananas are good.

Try looking for something like these: Kool Tie

REI Outdoors

Beat the heat with a cooling tie! This lightweight scarf is filled with polymer crystals that slowly release water in a cooling action.

Soak tie in water and the crystals hydrate, then wrap around your neck and feel the evaporative cooling action--works from hours to several days
Evaporative action can cool blood flow to the brain, reducing heart rate and blood pressure
Great for most activities, Kool TieŽ is soft, comfortable and easy to wear
Colorful print patterns add fun and flare to your outdoor adventure
Instructions included

Well, normally I just deal with it, but this is what I do to keep cool when its ULTRA hot (100+)

1. Moisture Wicking undershit- These are available for about 10 bucks

Hydration- Nothing but water or gatoraide on the day of, no coffee in the morning either.

Food- BANANAS. Great source of potassium and with decent calories. Also, whole grains, fresh fruit, vegetables, and lean protiens a few hours before play do wonders for performance.

Strectch- Some people dont think this will help. Some people are wrong. Stretching is ESSENTIAL. I play football as well, and I dont dare try to play without stretching.

I am a fat boy (about 300 lbs), and I use these methods, and heat doesnt bother me too bad.

this is what I do. wet the towel as much as possible and wrap it around the back of your neck helps keep your core temp down.

How does one keep body temps low?

I keep two cooling neck wraps in a small cooler and swap them out. I also have a large cooling pad that you wet and fold up and put in your cooler. It feels so good. I think most sporting goods stores sell both. The neck wraps are only a few dollars. It's been 100+ heat index here lately.

as horrible as it sounds i just use the G series they really do work if you drink them in the proper order ( they are numbered for those who don't know) i have two or three of the different kinds of Gatorade water bottles and i keep like the propel packets and the G2 packets in the bag just mix with water and go, afterwards chug a G3 and you feel like you haven't lost a thing

I had no luck with one, lasted about an hour, maybe they do not work well in the Humidity.

I hydrate before, during and after my round. But after I am done playing I experience headaches. I think that it just from playing in the heat. I need to find a way to stay cool during the round. I would like to hear any and all suggestions. Thanks.
I had the same problem as you. I'm using Cliff Shot Blocks during the round with my water. Solved my problems with the heat.

Nothing. Playing golf in one of the thinnest shirts I own and shorts is much better than football pads. I'm just conditioned to be used to it I guess.

That's the same with me - After playing goalie in a couple summer dek hockey leagues, going out for a round of golf is a walk in the park.
