Hello all,
After a long injury related hiatus I have returned. 6 months, no golf and came back shooting a healthy 95. Couldn't putt, couldn't chip, swing was an over the top handsy mess. 2 months back and I am in the low 80's hopefully on my way to 75, than par. After my initial bad rounds I switched from blades to Cleveland CG Reds. It took a while to get used to the top line but am now pretty happy. JB I must admit the old "why blades" thread convinced me to finally cut the blade cord and you were right about the newer tech cav backs. Great feedback and ability to move the ball.

I also moved to Florida in my time away and am now located in the Navarre area. I love it here, the golf is alot different than Southern California, mainly bunkers, holy powder. I need to relearn a bunker game.

Welcome back grab, I also had an injury related layoff a few years back and I can tell you it's a long and frustrating road back but it can be done! Glad to have you back!

It's been fun getting back into it. I'm striking the ball very very well, waiting on the feel to come back around the greens. Chips/pitches are all going long right now. Flrorida sand has been an adventure. The stuff is so incredibly fine, like hitting off of sugar. I Have started doing the hinge and hold, working pretty well. Loving the cavity back irons, CG-Red's were a good choice, only payed 50 bucks with my blade trade in. Thinking of switching balls. Maybe gonna try the B-330. I seem to be getting a bit of ballooning with my V1x and Tour D standby's on iron shots.
I wish I could make the fall outing but after moving into the house and all the money that goes along with such a venture it just ain't gonna happen. Hope you guys have fun out there.
