Looks used to mean a lot to me. I find them less important over the last several years. Possibly because I've gotten older and less appealing myself, and would hate to be dismissed at a glance because of my looks.

No worries--Diane would never do that.

You think your clubs are judging you?
I don't judge my ugly ass TM irons or square FT-i or triangular Titleist 907D1 drivers, so I'm assuming they don't judge me.

What about you, Slim? Do you judge a book by it's cover, or do you do a little reading first?

If I knew you (and everyone here) better, I'd say that's real white of you. But I don't.

The book has to appeal to my brain. If it's the right book, eye appeal is practically irrelevant.

Claire's right - I like you Kevin. I'm not sure I want to see you in the cheerleader uniform though.

Not even a blind person wants to see that.

I am new to the forum but yes looks do count. Some clubs are just too ugly for me to put in the bag. However, don't forget the old saying...she may be ugly but she sure can cook.

Really? Because I wasn't the one complaining about a "1" on a driver or scratches.
I dont think I was complaining. I just said it bugs me. I dont throw my head cover back on after I tee off so I would have to stare at a huge #1 all day. Its a mental thing, people who wear #1 in sports always kind of bug me too.

I've gotten to hit such a narrow range of clubs it's hard to say. Except I don't like a wide sole on my irons. Can't hit 'em.
Those X20's were the only set of irons I ever bought new.I got them right from Callaway.I bought the hype because I had been happy with my X18's.I grew to hate them because of the thick soles. It wasn't a looks thing though. It was the way they interacted with the turf. They did make we realize I liked narrower soles on my irons.I sold them for about what I paid for them so it ended well.
