Default Am I missing something......
Everytime my wife and I go to the course, the people in front of us always wait for us and ask us if we would like to join their group. Is this just good golf etiquette or am I missing something? Am I moving too fast? Too slow? Help me out here.~Chris

How cute is your wife?

If you are pushing them and having to wait on them in the fairways, then they may just be trying to be courteous. A lot of people like to play in a full foursome and like the social interaction. I know I enjoy that and sometimes go to the course alone just so I can join a new group and meet new people.

Sounds like just good golf etiquette on their part. I do it all the time, and most of the time others have offered the same to me.

Thats just good etiquette plus chances are if its two twosomes you will end up waiting together somewhere during the round.

It is good etiquette, but you still have the option of saying no. They won't be offended or they shouldn't be. If the course is crowded - you should say yes, but if not - see how you feel that day.

My first thought as well!

Actually, it sounds like healthy golf etiquette to me too.

I have not had this happen but I'm going to guess they were just being nice. Like Diane said you could have said no thanks but then you are in a wierd situation of both of you being on the tee at the same time. Who plays first at that point?

Id say its people just being friendly. The "hot wife" theory is a possibility though...

Technically, that would be wife hotness.

Why would that annoy you? Some people like to ride and some like to walk. Why would it matter?

Because they were together, one would hit then the other, then one would drive to his ball and the other walk (slowly) to his ball, then they would meet up in the middle of the fairway, the guy riding driving slow talking to the other one walking......ON EVERY HOLE!
