Default Fall/Winter Golf Ball
Hi All,

I am looking for a soft, multi-colored golf ball to play this fall/winter. The leaves have started falling and the bright multi-colored golf balls are easier for me to find in the foliage. :-)

Can you recommend a brightly colored ball that is soft as well?

Thanks!

Volvik Balls come in many colors, and are 70 compression. This is my ball of choice, when I can find them.

If you do not mind it, the Precept Lady IQ Plus in Pink works quite well. The ball is very playable for men and I really liked it. The clear also glistens in the sun quite a bit.

Volvik makes colored balls as well, but I do not think in my testings that they are nearly as playable as the Precepts. Just my opinion though. THe reason for me is that the cover feels MUCH harder on the Volviks than the Precepts.

How's the durability on the Precepts? The reason I ask is that I tried the Gamer and though I like the ball, I scuffed it up all to heck in about a round. Or is that just something I need to live with on these softer covers?

I had no durability issues at all with the Precept. Neither did GG during her review process. I know Claire, Diane, and Soxy have threads on this ball as well and IIRC they did not have durability issues either. But you would have to check those out.

I played with the pink Precept Lady IQ plus on Sunday. It was not easy to spot in the leaves. Even though it's a bright pink - when the sun caught it among the reds and gold of the leaves - it blended in. I like the ball a lot, but don't recommend it for Autumn golf in New England.

Noodle ice, they come in a variety of colors & can be picked up at Walmart dirt cheap. Pretty decent balls too.

Thank you for all of your replies. Maybe I should just move to Arizona. :-)
