I'm playing a charity scramble this Friday (Morgan Hill GC in PA), and next Thursday at our League year-end tournament (Neshanic Valley in Central NJ) with my three golfing buddies. Both are really nice courses, but totally different in design and layout. Morgan Hill has wide ROLLING fairways, while Neshanic Valley is more controlled and "natural."
I usually hit last and putt first (tells a lot about the state of my game). We make it a point to get everyone's "required drives" in as soon as possible. A couple of years ago we had to use my partner's two drives on the last two holes. We were probably in first place at that point. It was a disaster, the poor guy felt so much pressure he put two drives into a pond on #17, and the next one deep into the woods on #18. I felt so bad for him. |
