Don't you have ties to Chicago or Illinois or the midwest or something. You've mentioned being a Bears fan.
Yeah, I grew up just outside the city, but haven't lived there in ages. My family moved away long ago.

If so, that sucks because the darn thing is being held just outside of Chicago. Why can't you reschedule with the in-laws?
Spoken like an unmarried man.

Edit: I get to go to the Sybase and the Women's U.S. Open this year, so I can't complain too much.

It was my original plan to go this year, however those plans have fallen through. I will actually be down in NC on the outer banks for a family get together (there will be some serious golf competitions) the following week so Chicago is out. I really wanted to go so I am still a little bummed about the scheduling conflict. So to make up for missing this year, I hope they pick a good location in 2013 because I am going to be there.

You'll still be at the Women's U.S. Open though, won't you?

We haven't decided--a lot is up in the air between now and then. I believe the tickets we won are good for the entire thing.

You won? Wow that is awesome. I am excited to be at the practice rounds, less people, you can take pictures, people are more relaxed. I went to the 2006 Open when it was up here in Newport, RI on Sunday. That was fantastic, but you had to be strategic with your spectating. I was hoping to see Annika win it on the green at 18, but she missed that putt and it went into a 18 hole playoff the next day! Would have loved to see her win it.

Just wanted to give another update. Kerr is looking to take over the "Top American" title gaining on Paula with the win today. Natalie has moved into the top 10 with Prammanasudh dropping out of the guaranteed spots. Notice Michelle Wie at number 22. There is no way she makes the team, but thought I would point it out since people are always interested in what she is doing.

How about that in March Paula had a 170 point lead on Angela Stanford who was second at the time. Now Kerr is just 41 points behind her. Paula has only earned 43 points all year. I am still surprised she missed Kingsmill.
