I haven't been playing much lately but got a call from my Dads old Air Force buddy asking if I wanted to tee it up today, so I got up early and met him for golf.
Most of my buddies will tell you that I am a hot/cold player and seem to let the bad holes stay with me for a hole or two at times. This is something I have worked on for a while now and I feel that I am getting a lot better at it. So, today I hit a few range balls and we make our way over to the first tee, Fairway-Green-2 putts and make a par. Now on to the second hole, I snap hook a 4 iron on the long par three, then try to hit a tough shot and don't pull it off, walking off with a double bogey. On the third hole I duffed 2 tee shots in the hazard, hitting 5 on the tee I manage to make an 8 on the par 4. Now I am 6 over through three holes and normally this is the point where the wheels would fall off... However I kept my head in it and played the next 6 holes in 1 under for a 41 on the front. Keeping the momentum going I shot a 40 on the back with only a couple of small mistakes and felt the round turned out pretty good. Very happy shooting 9 over today considering I was 6 over through 3 holes!! |

Awesome CM. I did the same thing the other day. Started out double, double, then had 7 straight pars. Loving the consistency. New clubs might be working for you All that said I probably won't break 100 the next time I go out ![]() |
