It works. I have purchased a couple of homes this way. If the seller had not had a sign facing the golf course, I would have never known they were for sale.
There are a lot of homes for sale here in CT. I've noticed that the ones that back up to the golf courses have taken to putting "For Sale" signs facing the course. I'm not convinced it's a selling point though. |

What better way to hit your target audience? There are probably six or seven homes that have that on the course I play. |

I was thinking about one house in particular - it's on the 8th hole of a muni in a nearby town. It's a spec house and they're asking $3.4M - I just can't imagine anyone paying that much to live on a muni. Or most of us playing the muni sure aren't paying that much for our next house. ![]() |

There's a course I play, one of the few without houses. No matter. #9 at Sunflower.Usually my second shot(or 4th cuz of drop) somehow always finds it's way to the clubhouse.Have bounced em off the roof, off the sides even through the open garage doors where they store the carts.I'm disappointed when it tracks towards the green because it goes against tradition.

Diamondhead Golf Course outside Hot Springs AR has a 90* dogleg right as the starting hole. Just in the inside corner of the dogleg, about 100 yards off the first tee, sits a house. In the corner of the yard is a very tall white pole. The local rule is that any ball hit to the right of this pole, even if airborne, is immediately declared OB and must be re-teed. I guess this is a compromise they reached with the homeowner who probably got tired of people trying to cut the corner over his house....
