Default Pathetic!?
Did anyone hear Ian Baker Finch call Phil's putting "pathetic," on Saturday? What an arse. I know Phil is showing up to these events with his mind elsewhere. But at least the guy is trying.

IBF is such a tool.

You mean the Ian Baker-Finch that once missed like 30 cuts in a row before he "retired" from golf, once shooting 92 in the Open? That Finch? He would destroy Phil.

Sheesh, I guess with his record setting 13 profession wins and with lefty's measly 43 professional wins that he has room to critique his golf game..

I mute the TV when that guy starts yapping his trap. He's now become the official cheerleader of everything on tour that is Aussie. He's a clown.

Most "talking heads" are a waste air time. I once heard a guy say something to the effect "that those who are good, but can't compete, teach. Those who can't compete, or teach, become color commentators."

Of course the bottom line is someone likes these people, or they wouldn't be in the position they are in. Me, I like Johnny Miller, while most folks don't. Then again I have met him a few times when he did not have a microphone in front of him. I use to like to listen to Brandle Chamblee, but lately he has been striking a nerve with me with some of the things he says.

You may dislike IBF,But his statement is true.Phil is by far one of the worst putter inside 5 ft(I'm referring to pro's who are ranked inside the top 15.And Yes, I know Sergio is worst along with Vjay). All thanks to Pelz.Phil's short game was so much better before Pelz got his hands onto him

Phil was one of the great all time feel players around the greens. Pelz is analytical... I thought it could have been a good combination if Phil could have picked up just the analytical stuff to make decisions about the best shot, but it looks like he has picked up the swing stuff instead. Pelz teaches a really mechanical concept of taking the club back three different distances to produce certain shots...nothing "feel" about any of it. I thought Phil knew how to execute the shots, he just made bad decisions on which shots to play. Pelz could have helped with that. Too bad it has worked out like it has.

Phil is my hero, literally, met him numerous times and actually played in a pro-am with him in SD. I personally dislike pretty much all golf "commentators", including Mr. Miller. It is apparent that if you are not someone who spells his name like this: T-I-G-E-R-W-O-O-D-S, then you are nothing more than a duffer who gets lucky every once in awhile. And when Mr. Woods gets a lucky break it was due to his skill........heck he even admits it when he gets lucky, but according to the commentators it's all planned.......

Don't get me wrong, I love to watch Tiger and wish I could have even an ounce of his skill, and he is the best player ever, but if you make the cut at the pro level, you rate a little respect seeing as you are definitly in the 100th percentile of the world.

IMO Phil is the best chipper/feel around the green guy there is, yes his close range putting stinks but if I was in a best ball scramble there is only one person who is gonna be flopping it into a tight pin!

Plus he gets MAJOR props (just like Tiger and others) for playing through some VERY tough/emotional times. When someone you love faces the beast it's hard to concentrate. IMO I would just rather they get rid of the comentators and let me watch them play, their condescension and derision of all players gets on my nerves.

Sorry for the rant, just glad someone else noticed this! Now back to rainbows and ponies..............
