I love playing after it has just rained. Drives may not run as far, but the greens are like a dart board and you can ram home putts that you wouldn't dream of being aggressive with on a hard green. Agree with everything you said. Divots seem better and the greens are the best esp. once you've got the speed down after adjusting for the dampness.

I don't like when the grass is wet - my ball gets wet or a grip if I lay a club in the grass, then my hand gets wet. Then I wipe my hand on my shorts and they're wet and dirty.

I like playing in the rain when I do run into it. Just seems more peaceful.

Like to play after a good rain. Around here there are certain times of the year when the humidity comes down just a bit and after a rain everthing just seems cool and fresh. I agree the divots are better and the putting is much better after adjusting for the damp greens.

I agree with everything you wrote. The only thing I don't like is the inevitable swarm of mosquitoes that follow such a rain.

I despise playing IN the rain. How many more distractions can you add to an already difficult human move? (Umbrellas, slickers, rain gear, grip wipes....geez!)

I love playing after a rain, it's my favorite. Even better if I'm the first / only one out there playing.

I don't mind playing in the rain, I don't own a rainsuit, or fiddle with all the other stuff (though I do have an umbrella).

Diane, I always have a large towel with me to lay on the ground then I lay the clubs on the ground with the grips resting on the towel. Keeps them dry and playable.

I like playing after the rain even though I am not a long hitter and therefore lose some roll. Nothing quite like the smell in the air after a rain.

This whole season has been either raining or about to rain. Desert golf sounds really good about now.

I play at muni courses and they don't have very good drainage. Some areas on the fairway is just grass sitting ontop of soft mud :P....

I love it too except I usually dig the clubhead in on chips when the ground is soft. But that's my problem I'll have to fix.
