Umm, yeah, you're not supposed to do that.
When I hear someone yell, I turn away, duck and cover my head. Why on Earth would you turn toward the sound????
It needed to be asked.
I wouldn't in most instances, but I was chipping onto the green and given the course layout - I wouldn't have thought anyone could hit near me. I would have been wrong and learned a lesson I should have known.

I agree with your brother. Otherwise we should all be yelling 'fore' just in case after every shot we take which seems nuts...

You must take a looooong time to play a round if every shot you take heads out of sight.

not at all. I guess I was trying to say the only way I yell fore is if the shot is heading for imminent danger.
