IMHO leave them at home, turn them off, put them on vibrate or whatever else it takes to be courteous on the course. Even If the phone is on vibrate and someone takes a lengthy business or personal call it's rude. I've seen guys talking away, not even realizing that it's their turn to hit.
Don't get me wrong here. For emergency calls (on vibrate) they're fine, but how many times have you played with someone who got an emergency call? Most of the time it's just "so where are you" or I'm on the golf course. And how about just when you're ready to hit a shot and someone's cell goes off? I bet these are the same people whose phones go off in movie theaters. So, what do YOU think of our "cannot do without" communication devices on the golf course? |
