‘Sri Venkatadri Vaibhavam’ a multilingual, multimedia dance feature on Sri Venkateswara, Lord of the Seven Hills was staged for the first time in Hyderabad. A production of Abinaya Natyalaya, Chennai, the dance ballet was performed over 80 times worldwide.

With a unique blend of religion, music, dance and visuals, Sri Venkatadri Vaibhavam chronicled the greatness of Tirumala-Tirupathi. The ballet was choreographed entirely by Kalaimamani Krishnakumari Narendran, Founder-Director of Abinaya Natyalaya, and set to music by violin maestro Nadabrahmam Kalaimamani Kunnakudi Dr. R Vaidyanathan.

Sri Venkatadri Vaibhavam, showcased journey up the seven holy hills, to the shrine of Varahaswami, and then a dip in the Pushkarani, followed by a glimpse of the stately Golden Gopuram. This was followed by the enactment of two incidents that occurred at the holy shrine of Balajee - the descent of the Akasha Ganga and the story behind the practice of placing Pacha Karpooram (camphor) on the Lord’s chin.

Sri Venkatadri Vaibhavam brought to the audience glimpses of the Abhishekam being performed for the Lord. It also showcased important events like the Garuda Seva, Kalyanotsavam and Dolothsavam, bringing before the audience, the Lord in all his charming glory.
