Alhamdolillah SF is my life!. I love it. but lately anyone notice how heavy it is getting. Are our mods just too complacent, outdated and allowing things to just flow.

From my experience it seems we are in a position of pleasing no one. If you peruse the comments and suggestion, then we are complacent, hypocritical, coward, etc etc as well as too narrow minded, conservative, culturally biased etc. along with lacking of respect to other madhahib, scholars, sufiya, tj, etc. We are ALL that, and yet someone would dare think SF is a good place for them to stay.

As for recently, please visit the comments and suggestion are and see the latest complain agains SF is exactly of non complacence, and annoyance at us closing threads. So, I dont think we are complacent. I hope some of our mods, inshAllah are taking a break to do their ibadah and forgo their voluntary duties here on SF. May Allah give them all ajar adheem

You might have a point akhi but the enunciation of the problem is not precise enough. It will be better if you spell out the posts where you have a problem in deciphering the content. I do face problems when it comes to issues of Fiqh. In these matters I give up at the first opportunity. I have started doing that after breaking my head over these things and deciding that I am not supposed to be a jack of all trades. The decision is very difficult on the nafs but I feel that it is pragmatic one. After all why all the Fuqaha are there or why they have been in the past. If I am at ease not being a Nephrologist then I should be at ease not being a Faqih. Luckily Allah (SWT) has not made us responsible for more than our abilities and capacity.

I forgot to give my unrequested "0.1 cent" regarding this issue after having vented out some months ago in the brother's section. Insha'Allah we'll do soon...

rather than too heavy, I think it's the opposite, that SF is too "lively", even in Ramadhan (unless heavy=lively, and if that's so, that's my mistake for not understanding it correctly).

Don't know what's the reason behind it, but I guess if only we do some background search on any topic discussed here before posting it, then that would prevent us from making any mistakes and would not drag us down the argument road instead of discussion.
