And I've decided to fast today (15th December) and insha'Allah will do so tomorrow and Friday.

Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi explains why we fast on the 9th and the 10th which i already knew and outlines the fasting on 3 levels but doesnt explain the basis of fasting the 3 days which is what i would like some more detail to.

I have though decided to fast all 3 days this year as surely only good can come from fasting in Allah's name, last year i fasted 2 days. May Allah (swt) accept all our fasts.
