What is the singular for the word "Qawaamona"? ﴿الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ

Is is in anyway related to word al-Qayum?

salam

I think they are related as they both fall under the root letters ق و م , al-Qayum means self-exisiting/eternal, whilst I think Qawwam(un) has meanings of 'straightness', 'firmness', 'support' etc and I think is related to the word qawm which means kinsfolk
