imam marcus abu taubah robertson is an american citizen. His parents are christian but he reverted to islam as a child when he went to local masjid. He joined the Marines and he was in special forces of marines called ,marine recon. He was stationed in Japan where he says he really began to learn proper Islam and Arabic. After being honorably discharged from marines he went and lived and studied in Mauretania and Egypt for nearly 8 years.
He was an up an coming muslim lectuer who was making a name for himself by appearing on muslim tv, radio and internet shows.

Why the FBI came after him who knows. All it takes is for someone to mention your name and that gives them the right to search your home and once in your home they can search your computer and on and on. Basically with the terrorism laws if you are a muslim you are guilty until proven innocent.

Abu Taubah was making regular appearances in England. Maybe this is why the FBI began to notice him. It seems like when muslim lectuers travel from country to country they start to get the attention of law enforcement.
Abu Taubah is a Salafi muslim and is fluent in Arabic and he has ties to Mauretania and North Africa.

he was arrested for possessing a firearm. he had a felony charge before he converted to islam. why he was allowed into the military with a felony charge and they go after him now is beyond me. it is also beyond my understanding why the fbi gets involved in a matter such as this. pure sensationalism.

to my knowledge, he never even spoe about such matters like shaikh ali (ha) did. i have seen MULTIPLE lectures by abu taubah where he generally towed the saudi line and spoke against all such things.
