Let me quote an incident I have read regarding Gen Ziaul Haq

Once in the majlis of a khaleefa of Hakeemul ummat (I don't remember his name), Gen Zia requested for duas from the shaykh. The Shaykh held his ears with his fingers, (like an elder holds the child), gen zia's secretary intervened and try to separate them, it was against the protocol. Gen Zia said "let the shykh hold my ear, till the time he holds the ear, Allah SWT rahmath will be showering on me".

Indians use to fear him.
