Default HELP...its all my fault
Hey--

I've been checking in here daily, although, not writing much. I have been doing well and been on induction for 7 weeks. My friend's wedding is coming up (the reason for sparking all this)... I leave in 4 days and it will be a week from today. Not sure if its the stress of seeing everyone or a boyfriend who is constantly bringing over sweets and dinners (full of carbs) that I tell him I will eat tomorrow (but have been throwing away)...but finally it all got to me and in the last two days I have been eating everything terrible for me in sight...I don't want to waste all my hard work..Just need a few kicks in the @$$ to tell me that I can get back on track and that it won't all be ruined. Sorry for the cry of mercy...but I need to hear it from someone in the same shoes....not someone who thinks I can eat whatever I want and look good. Thanks guys.

Spend a few moments and mediate. Remind yourself of why you are doing all this. Focus on it! Read Karens progress report. She wrote something recently - like in the last day or 2 - about things we tell ourselves and what they really mean. I found this particular post very thoughtful. Definitely look it up!

Also, banish the boyfriend till he's low-carb friendly and try on the dress you are going to wear at the wedding. BTW, losing weight for an event is NOT a good idea cause when the event is over (which your sub-concious is sensing) you throw in the towel. This needs to be a lifestyle change and it must affect all areas of your life. 7 weeks of hard ass work you have invested in yourself. Thats 1176 hours. Its 70,000 seconds. How many seconds does it take to undo that work and eat sugar? Just a few, I bet, and it will NEVER be worth it in the end. Not one person has even said....Gee, I am glad I binged on crap for a week to gain back 10 lbs!!

Is it really worth un-doing all that hard work for some bread/chocolates/pasta/other crap? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If all else fails, get naked if/when you eat high carb crap and look at yourself in the mirror while you chew. pay special attention to your body. this one works like a charm 8)
