I don't snack at all. I eat three meals a day at about the same time each day. (Breakfast at about 11:00 am, Lunch at 3:00pm, Dinner at 8:00pm) I find I'm just not hungry enough to snack. Also, I read somewhere else that if you aren't hungry enough for a meal, then don't eat. Wait until you are hungry enough for a meal. I thought that was great advice, so I only eat meals. Snacking, to me, seems to be a bi-product of high carb / low fat eating, because people are hungry all of the time. On a high fat diet, I don't usually get hungry.

You can snack on pork rinds, celery or other cut allowable veges with cream cheese, hard boiled eggs-plain or mixed with yummy wasabi mayo, cheese sticks. I am sure you will hear about other things as well. I tend to go overboard with the nuts, I find. What plan are you on?

Good for you.... I was wondering, Atkins had LC snacks in the book. You can go online for Low carb snacks and get lots of ideas, too.

here are a few.... http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/whattoeat/a/snacks.htm the thing is to be ready. maybe you need a bit more protein, meat, or a bit more fat, cream cheese. Are you hungry or have the munchies. I work my snacks into my mealplan and enjoy them. I make yummy things with coconut oil I have in the evening.

I always have a couple of boiled eggs in the fridge and if I really want a snack which is not very often, I opt for the boiled egg and sometimes mash it up with a bit of mayonnaise. I also make a tuna salad and mash up the egg yolk with the tuna, put the "mash" in half of each egg white and sprinkle with paprika. I keep these in ziplock bags and voila, an easy and delicious snack.

My son makes a wonderful Guacamole and the other night I got hungry while watching TV and had a couple of spoonfuls of leftover Guac which was excellent. I also will sometimes eat half an avocado which I LOVE!

People who like pork rinds might enjoy these recipes: http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/cinnamo...porkrinds.html; http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/mock_ci...st_crunch.html

Usually I just eat at meal time and find I am satisfied and often I cannot even finish my evening meal and leave it for the next morning.
