thank you Craig and Aradasky. I will head for Wallgreens tonight to buy the Keto sticks. I will try to start a thread. I have 35 pounds to lose. I'll see then how I feel and look . I may need another 10. I am married to a thin husband who can eat anything he wants. This diet is really different. All other diets, the sweet potato is better than the white. I will have to learn a whole new way of thinking. I am ready for it. I did not get hungry today. Made some deviled eggs last night after reading on this forem and took them to the golf course to eat for lunch. Thank God we can have Mayo. Love it.

Suzy, sweet potatoes are Better than a white potato. Here as elsewhere! You just have to wait a bit to eat it as there is more carbs and sugar in it than you should eat in the beginning.

I will probably have to wait a long time to eat any kinds of potatoes, my weakness. I am so hungry tonight for something sweet. Hope I can fall asleep fast tonight so I will stop thinking about it.

Beautiful Pic. Is that your home? Can you not EVER have sugar alcohol. Like those sugar free Russel Stovers?

After just one day of being "legal" I got on the scale and was down 2 lbs this morning. I couldn't belive it. It really hypes me up. I know it is probably water weight at this point but I don't care. Off to the golf course again today and need to pack my lunch. Left over chicken wrapped in Lettuce and mayo. Yum.

I still get a hankering sometimes. I am sure it is as strong as a nicotine habit and just as hard to kick. However, if you are willing to try something, sugar free jello is allowed. I cannot go to the sugar free candy as I am sure that would be a trigger for me. This is a product that many on LC use to sweeten and add flavor. You can use it in coffee or tea for instance http://shop.torani.com/Sugar-Free-Va...FWgZQgodt1XauA

Yes, it is good not to give in too many times, especially when you are on induction, but when you feel you can handle the taste and not have it trigger something, then try it.

What kind of cream do you put on your jello? I want to make it. It sounds sooooo good and sweet. Just what the doctor ordered.

I lost another # this morning. Can't believe it. I have my jello in the frig setting and I bought some spray whipped cream that has 1 carb for two Tbs. Is that ok to eat? Can't wait to have something sweet tonight. I also made a delicious egg salad with chopped green olives. yummy.

Excellent Suzy! 2lbs is awesome! Just watch theres no sugar or form of it in that spray whip cream. I just use real cream you have to whip yourself with a touch of splenda.

Across the pond it is jelly, here jello. Lol. I have heavy cream or whipping cream to use on my coffee and just put a Tbs on my jello. I am kinda lazy and don't want to spend the time whipping or wash the tools in the evening. If you found a low carb whipped cream, cool! And the egg salad sound good.

If you use the spray can whipped cream... MEASURE your serving. It's 2 LEVEL tablespoons. A smear, really. If you spray it on your jello (a mound) it's probably more like 5g carb. Check the can for the total number of servings... that's how many carbs are in the can if one serving has one carb. For example... Cool Whip has 24 servings in one of their small containers. Can you imagine having 24 slices of pie or 24 cups of jello and expecting one small container to be enough? Of course not. They make the serving size smaller so the carb count/calorie count/fat grams/etc per servings looks "low". NO ONE gets 24 servings out of that. So measure your whipped cream. LEVEL Tablespoon.

Thanks for the info. I need all the help I can get. I am a baby "carber" and am enjoying all the help for everyone. I did measure and it was so good to have something sweet. I was in hog heaven. NOW, if I would just go to the bathroom, all would be ok. My tummy is not feeling very well.

If you're at that point, it's ok to take something to get things moving. After that, to keep yourself "going" make SURE you are drinking water all day. Spread your veggie carbs out over the day (don't eat them all at once). Eat your veggie raw whenever possible. Take a fiber supplement until your body adjusts and/or you move to OWL where you can have even MORE veggies. Don't cut back on fats in Induction. WALK... stimulating the large intestine with exercise is important (ask any dog). So, fix it (laxative) and then PREVENT it.
