Oh Tracy, I am so sorry. I know this is so disappointing. I am going to go back and look at your menus.

Earlier we talked about your veges. Are you getting most of your carbs from veges? Maybe adding a few nuts and berries like blue hex suggested will do the trick. Were you doing a lot of exercise before the change of eating? I was wondering if you started doing more recently and are adding muscle.

i have been eating 5 or 6 blueberries a day which is hard as i dont really like fruit, i just dont have a sweet tooth and have always struggled to eat it, i love veggies though and would prefer a piece of green pepper over an apple any day! i have also stopped the caffiene and stopped all sweetners, i actually quite like decaf with cream and no sweetner, its the first time i have ever drunk coffee without a sweetner (i know its strange not having a sweet tooth but always having sugar or sweetner in coffee). As for exercise, when i first started induction nearly 9 weeks ago i was doing quite a lot of it, but that has decreased somewhat in recent weeks and am even struggling to find the motivation to do 2 small runs, the most i have done in a couple of weeks is walking the dog and 1- 4 mile run. so that could also contribute to a stall i suppose, but as far as food is concerned i have been quite strict, i have now tweaked it and think this must be pretty much spot on, here is what i have had in the past 2 days, feel free to tell me if there are changes i could make, all advice greatfully received!

breakfast 2streaky bacon 1 egg, 3 small mushrooms, decaf and cream (25ml)
lunch, chilli omelette, ounce cheese, 1/2 cup spring greens, herb tea
dinner- 2 strips of pork belly, saurkraut, ham and cheese rollup. herb tea
snack couple of slices of ham
drinks- water (loads of)

breakfast- chilli omlette topped with smoked salmon, decaf cream.
lunch-lamb mince with a bit of curry powder and aubergines fried in coconut oil, spoon of sour cream. herb tea
dinner- steak pieces with 2 spring onions and 3 mushrooms, fried greens and soy sauce, herb tea
snack- smoked salmon.
drinks (water)

i will try and increase my activity level, see if that helps.

These look like good meals, Tracy. Instead of berries, why not do two or three nuts a day, if you don't like the berries? Do you by, any chance have a thyroid problem? I ahve seen that discussion in other forums and am wondering about it here, for you.

i dont know, i was checked for it years ago but it was ok, what are the symptoms? i have to admit i feel a bit brighter today, last week i was feeling quite awful, really tired and looked so pale i got sent home from work! i still dont have much energy, i have an appointment with doc soon so will mention thyroid. I think i will eat nuts instead, i will put the remaining berries on the bird table!
one bonus today is someone at work (male,he he!) said i was looking lovely and slim, what a compliment! and the first person to comment on my weight loss yet

Default massive stall and getting fed up!!
this is getting very frustrating, it will be 6 weeks on wednesday with no weight loss, no inch loss either! i have been in ketosis the whole time, quite dark on the ketostix, i drink loads of water too. i am starting to get worried, why am i in ketosis and stalling? i have cut out the mayo that i thought was stalling me in week 5, i eat around 1,500 cals and have about 20-25g carbs a day, i have been on owl for almost a week. i really dont expect to see loads of weight loss, maybe a lb a week at this stage, but i am not even getting that. i do moderate exercise, cycling to work, and 2 small runs (4-6 miles) a week. my whole weight loss has been in the first 3 weeks (14lb) help i am getting desperate. i have posted a few menus on here and thery are more or less what i am eating now, minus the mayo.
