Default Some new information to use for doubters
I had heard from some friends, some of the old arguments that I used to use against this way of eating (Th new Atkins) and did a lot of reading. The old reports from the medical field were against it for many reasons. Now, they have been turning toward it. This article is long but very worth reading. My daughter has fibermialgia type symptoms and I hope to get her on this way of eating. She eats very healthy but maybe just a bit fewer carbs would help. I am going to try my mom as well. It seems we are a family who has insulin problems. My mom has hypoglycemia and I have type 2 diabetes. I have lowered my fasting blood sugar reading to below 100 and I think it would help them. Think of eggs and bacon for breakfast instead of a bowl of cereal, any kind of cereal. Cereal doesn't even sound good now.

I looked for information that was new. This was what I could find for 2011.

Carbs like pasta, bread and potatoes turn straight to sugar, which makes you more acidic. I recovered from chronic fatigue by getting my PH up to 6.8 from a super low 4.5. When I was at my sickest, I was getting FM. Sugar also feeds yeast which makes you more acidic. I used to have hypoglycemia, which I no longer have, and lost 18 pounds without even trying, just by ditching acid forming foods (meat, dairy, gluten) and eating fruit, soaked nuts and seeds, seaweed, and green veggie juice every day.

Thanks so much. Weight loss is just a side benefit. My major benefit is recovering from chronic fatigue.
