NO NO NO... it's not that you are out of shape!!! lol
it's that those particular videos are just really freaking HARD!!!!! Don't be down on yourself.. I'm being totally serious.. I've used firm, and have had the sets,, since way before they came out on TV.. I could only get 1 at a time, in places like Sports Authority,, and then they were just some obscure off brand... then, many years later, they came out as this "new thing".. but really aren't all that different.. there are some differences,, as I do like some of the older versions better, like the ab tape.. but they are still hard. I also bought the new version after it came out.. and no matter what.. don't be down on yourself for having fatigue and/or a hard time with them.. I don't know anybody that can do this series without being exhausted!!! ![]() |

I'm a Firm addict. I even have the first 6 volumes where they wear leg warmers and jazz shoes, lol! They are killers, especially the first time you do them. I probably have about 15-20 of their tapes, and use them all (I go thru phases as to which ones I rotate).
What ones do you have? I do have some fairly recent ones that come with the 3-in-1 box. I think they have an even newer step now. How about those hover squats! |

Let me know how they are. Sometimes, their cardio tapes are not really cardio at all, but mostly strength. Others are very intense.
I would imagine that the high step fould be pretty hard for a shorter person. I have one dvd from them. For some reason, it doesn't let you rewind or forwad, so I'm always forced to watch their ads. I've been sticking to the videos for this reason. I'm not sure if all their dvds are like this, but I've been afraid to try another. I have the tapes that came with the first body scultping system (the same step as this, but no bar and different tapes). I really like this step. The old ones were wooden and hard to store. |

Supposedly, you're safe to do cardio every day (but you should take at least 1 day off per week). Weight training needs a day off between workouts. You could train on consecutive days if you work different muscle groups (upper one day, lower the next). What's nice about the Firm is that you can rotate tapes to work slightly different muscles each time.

Hi. I'm new to the forum but I've been doing the firm videos for about a month. The first time I tried one I couldn't eve make it 1/4 of the way through it. But I went back and did it again. Now I'm hooked. I love to do it. I have the newest set on DVD. I bought a 4 pack of DVDs for $40 at Sams Club. The only problem is it didn't come with the extremely overpriced fanny lifter or sculpting stick. So I've been using a plastic step stool and weights. It really is an amazing workout!

I been doing these too, its a very addicting workout cause i always want to do better. I think I may have hurt my arm- wrist though today, its kinda sore, it kinda *jolted* today when i lifted scuplting stick but i kept lifting anyways. I will see if its better tomorrow ill keep lifting if not ill avoid the lifting part for now.
