I've had Winsor Pilates for a couple months, but have a hard time sticking to any exercise plan. Like BJ said, it is physically challenging, but not totally hard. I did the 20 minute dvd for a month or so, but never on a regular basis. So I wasn't really sure if I lost inches, but the thing I loved about it was how it affected my posture. My back felt so much stronger and I just felt like holding my head up a little higher. Winsor Pilates is focused on abs mostly, but it's not like doing hundreds of situps. You just feel leaner and tighter after doing it, not sore and achy. I've recently started doing the 1 hour dvd. I still can't do some of the harder exercises, but I just try as best as I can. I guess it can only get better, right?
Anyway, overall I would definately recommend them.
wow....did I really write that much??? Sorry!

Hi Mickey,

Yes, I started Winsor Pilates last Monday. I do the 20 minute workout. I like it because it's easy for a beginner like me.

I've always had difficulty following a workout video but have no problem keeping up with this. It's a challenge physically (which is what we want from a workout) but I'm not confused about what to do next.

My main weight loss focus right now is my tummy. From what I understand Winsor Pilates is one of the best things you can do to get rid of that "pudgy tummy" as mentioned in another thread.

Hi Mickey,,

most of the pilates discussions on the board are about Winsor pilates. I can think of two that are pretty recent and should still be on the front page.. The pilates class that I had started/taken/signed upfor has since been cancelled, so I also ordered all of the DVD's in the beginning and advanced series... I'm waiting for them to get to me, so I will let you know how they are as soon as I get into them.. but I think "BJ" does them on a regular basis... Maybe she can give you more info?

Blueskyes2 mentioned this type of pilates. I was wondering if anyone had tried it. I got a tape from my local library and plan on trying it.
