On my first week of BodyFlex I lost 14 inches all over my problem areas. And yes it really does work. I stopped when I hit a major platue in July but I have now started doing it everyday along with walking and I feel great!

Thanks YoYONoMo I was watching this informecial over the weekend and of course didn't order it and was thinking about it and said I should of ordered it. I like it for extra work out besides walk and my total body workout tape. It's a good watching TV excersise program.

My LP says it sounds like she is having sex (LOL)

No I didn't have problem using the bar (it is compared to 5lbs weights)
it does get easier as you use it. You only use the bar for about 7 minutes of the video, if that. First you do all the breathing exercise you learned for each body section then you use the bar. When it gets to easy just wrap it around the bar like she showed you in the introduction video.

Good luck and enjoy.

I haven't been able to do anything with it yet. It's been a hectic weekend and week so far with my brother and family visiting. Now that they have left I'm gonna do the video for a week, 4 - 14 inches in one week sounds great to me, now i'll put it to the test

I was convinced to buy the bodyflex as well. I watched the intro tape to learn the techniques. I keep meaning to wake up early to do this so that my fiance doesn't laugh at me with the cooky breathing.

Now, I have always been told that you should never lift weights everyday. 2sis - did you have problems using the toning bar everyday??

Hearing that you lost 6 1/2 inches is definitely going to get myself in gear. Thanks for the update and inspiration! I will start using my bodyflex tape asap!

It is an exercise system. You get a video and gym bar with surgical tubing (supposed to compare to 5lb weights)

It is a whole breathing technique that is supposed to get you aerobic then you use the gym bar. You may have seen it on an infomercial. They guarantee you lose 4 - 14 inches in your first week. (This is all done sitting on your fanny)

Default Exercise Video suggestions?
I'm on Atkins for about 9 weeks and have lost 27 pounds. I'm a true exercise hater but i realize i need to do something. I'm not the gym joiner type and walking is not my thing either. Can anyone recommend a good exercise video that i can do that is at a beginner level but will get me sweating.
Thanks! Lynn

2sis- Have you watched the intro yet? I was going to tell you, sometimes I just do the breathing and no poses for energy and just to feel good.

I really have to recommend Power 90. It's a 90 day regimine that becomes increasingly more challenging. It takes about 30-40 minutes a day. I did it for a while, and I really liked it, except that this was pre-Atkins for me and I was too heavy to do all the exercises . One day is strength and the next is cardio, and you keep going back and forth for the 90 days. I need to get back with it. It's an excellent workout.

Tony Little gets on my nerves all the time. I like Winsor Pilates and I also like The Firm set. It has a Cardi Sculpt, Body Sculpt and Ab Sculpt included in the set. It also comes with the "Fanny Lifter" which is like the steps for step aerobics. When I exercise, I enjoy the feeling but I too am not always motivated. I have the added problem of a little extra in the chestage region which does not work well for a lot of jiggling and jumping. So, taking all that in to consideration, I like both of those products because they are enjoyable and painless.

I like the Firm videos. Many of them that have "cardio" in the title are really mainly strength videos.

Check out videofitness.com. They have customer reviews of most videos. You look up the instructor and read or write the reviews. There's also a video selector, based on your level and preferences. Some like dancier sequences, some like steps, etc. It's a good site.

Collage video also as a lot of info.
