I was measured as to body fat content, before I started Atkins and then recently. Also a physical therapist did some calculations that closely agreed with the tests. I thought I had gained about 12 pounds of muscle but it was much more. Everywhere that moves and flexes when I walk has increased in muscle mass. My calves, badly atrophied from not walking much at all for almost four years, have really grown again; as have my thighs and the muscles in my lower and mid back. I was hoping that because of my age I would not put on so much muscle any more. But I have. I am not doing any upper body exercise right now because of that. I really would like to be leaner with less muscle mass at this time.

Good Luck!
