Anyone have this?
Ive had an enlarged thyroid for a few years. The doc did an ultrasound and they said it was fine, but now im starting to have problems. When I lay down, I feel like there is a brick on my throat. I cant breath deep or anything. My throat is tight all the time now and it feels like I am constantly straining. When I am working out, It feels like i cant take in enough air. I have a hard time swallowing and now after I talk all night, I feel a sharp pain go down the side of my throat. Not sure what the hell is going on. I do have hypotyroidism as well just wanted to know if anyone else have experienced this. |

I did with multiple nodules. My biopsy came back with Hurthle cells, which may or may not be cancer. It kept growing so we decided that it should be removed. Took the whole thing out because of the size and number of nodules. Ended up not being cancerous. It never gave me any problems and it fuctioned fine.

A friend of mine had a benign tumor on her thyroid (i think) started small so that when docs felt her neck he denied anything was there even though she insisted there was a lump. after a few months it got much bigger. The doctor told her at this point if it got any bigger it would start to obstruct her breathing and she had it removed. Maybe time to go back to the docs if it is causing discomfort?
