We here drink recycled water from the tap. It's regularly treated, regulated and probably cleaner than imported bottled water.
Bottled water is healthy water -- or so marketers would have us believe. Just look at the bottled water labels or ads: deep, pristine pools of spring water; majestic alpine peaks ... In reality, bottled water is just water; however, that fact isn't stopping people from buying a lot of it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brian-..._b_660499.html ![]() |

i wonder what percentage of this bottled water actually comes from underground, i would not be surprised if it is just treated tap water, or worse, just tap water http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0304-04.htm |

Most of the water is purified anyway.
it cost around here like 1.19 for a 20 oz bottle of water. I used to buy my girlfriend at the time a case of it. but i paid the stores cost for the 24 bottle case. which was 5.00 lol they sell the same size water at the theaters for 4.00/bottle their cost is even lower then that thats outrageous. |

All companies that produce consumables must, by federal law, have an expiration date on it. Since bottled water is a consumable the company must put a expiration date on it.
Also some water becomes impure due to plastic melting or substances released into the water by the plastic. It's not a marketing ploy |

i wonder what percentage of this bottled water actually comes from underground, i would not be surprised if it is just treated tap water, or worse, just tap water Unfortunately, bottled is super expensive! So I use a Brita now. I had a roommate once who's Brita had a light that flashed green when the filter was good and then did orange for a while and finally went red. I poured a glass one day, made a comment that we needed to change the filter because it was starting to taste off, and then the light flashed green so he brushed it off. The next glass that got poured, the light flashed orange. Whenever I make something with powder (Gatorade, Crystal Light) I just use the water straight from the tap. It's flavored anyhow. I will make myself sick from thirst before I drink from the tap though. I can't stand the taste; it makes me nauseous. |

Some cities have started banning bottled water.. Ours is strongly considering following that trend to lower the plastics in the recycling..
I know for Expo and the Olympics we had to ADD chemicals to our water so people who came from other cities would not feel too sick from ours.. Kinda makes you wonder.. Personally I hate bottle water, will very rarely buy any and if I do I tend to keep the bottle and refill it with tap water.. |

My mom tried to convince me her water was just as good as the bottled water I insisted on buying. She made me do a taste test out of glasses. I could easily tell a difference. And some bottled water is good, and some is just plain nasty!!!! Aquafina, anyone? Yuck! usually i have about 2 glasses a day i have people telling me that's very little but i feel no thirsty to have more so the lemon help to manage to have another or 2 .. |
