Default Tanning
I went tanning today for the first time in atleast a year...or close to it anyways. With our crappy rainy weather I've been so drained and I'm tired of it. I've been taking my vitamin d pills, but really haven't noticed any change in energy or lack of pains or anything else so I figured hoping into one of the tanning beds will help. I like that the place I go does have some beds that offer more vitamin d lighting than your typical bed. Yea it cost me 1/2 of my remaining 70 minutes, but it was worth it lol.

Anyone tan regularly or do you just go typically the same reason as I? When you need that energy boost, but no real sun is around to help.

I want to start up a bit, not to get a golden tan or anything... because I like being pale to some degree... but it helps spruce my mood and clears my eczema!

Tanning helps with a few different things, but people have to be smart about it. I agree I'm not going to get dark. I'm doing mine for the vitamin d/energy. I always feel refreshed after I go. I go like 3 times a year...if that lol.

Agreed!

Oh and I absolutely LOVE the smell of tanning lotions hehe. I have two bottles of lotion one is my Matahari and the other is California Tan. I love em both, but damn they get to be expensive as hell when you have to buy em for the tanning beds.

Find a beauty supply store near you that is open to the general public, you can generally buy them there cheaper than regular retail stores

I might just do that. I haven't had to buy any for a year...it helps that I don't tan alot lol. But next time I need too I will be shopping around. Heck I'm sure online has some good prices too.

No doubt! I wouldn't use lotion that's too old though, the stuff does go rancid...

Yea but shelf life of lotions is pretty long. So a year later doesn't bother me.

If you use a tanning bed.... you'd better know the dangers. I don't care how little you use them.

I have to avoid the sun.... and tanning beds.... at all costs. I just burn. I've never tanned. Only freckled.

I really don't mind being a 'white' girl.

Oh I am so glad you said that. They are even considering banning the tanning beds here....

Use the real thing for a light tan.....those beds are NOT good.

they have started banning it here for under 18 unless you have a drs note. and what dr will give that out!?

im against tanning beds! one: the tans look fake (cause well, they are!), two: you can get it FOR FREE just by sitting outside even for a few minutes, three: they are just NASTY, four: they are 20 times worse than the sun itself

the other day we went out to eat and there was a prom party. one girl over did the tanning bed and to make it worse, she was wearing a bright orange dress!! MAJOR FAIL!!

I'm well aware of the risks. Anyone who tans in a tanning bed should be.

I think you failed to see how it's been rainy and crappy here a lot lately. I haven't had a chance to get any sun. There are specific tanning beds with bulbs that offer vitamin d which is what I went in.

A lot of people don't know how to stop when it comes down to tanning whether that be in a bed or outside.

And tanning in a tanning bed does not give you a fake tan look. It looks rediculous when people over use it but they would get the same effect if they spent as much time in the sun to look that way as well.

I understand. When short season comes around.... I blind everyone with my stark winter white legs! LOL!

I'm gonna use some of that roll on tan. The make up kind that won't wash off. Never tried it yet. Have you?

I've used a lotion once YEARS ago and it streaked and looked super yellow.

There are some spray ones as well as this noxema rub on one that actually worked quite well. Well my sister used those not me. After the first bad experience I never touched the stuff again hehe.
