E-Wave Chip Protects Against Scary, If Not Scientifically Proven, Threat of Cellphone Radiation

Cellphone radiation is spawning worries that it can do everything from making sperm stupid to popping popcorn... which means it's prime time to start selling "cures" like this "radiation reducing" E-wave phone chip.
Omega, a Belgian health products company that usually markets things like suntan lotion and wart treatments, is branching out into protective tech gadgets. It's E-wave chip, which attaches onto phones, allegedly offsets electromagnetic radiation and neutralizes the "heating effect" caused by electromagnetic signals. All tests to prove these claims seem to have been done by Omega itself.
In case you've run out of tin foil hats, this little device is now out in Belgium for $50. It'll be rolled out to the rest of the cellphone radiation fearing world in 2009. [Reuters]

might be true, but a lot of things we have causes some side effect, like headphones causes our eardrums to be damaged, but we still would use them

its just another thing we have to get used to
yeah but a side effect of brain cancer is not exactly a small thing to cope with. Anyways, wasn't there a whole bunch of studies published that said there were NO side effects of cell phones? what happened to all of those 'facts' that were pushed by cell phone companies. I smell a lawsuit.

I don't know about cellphones...but I know a buddy of mine had a cancerous tumor removed from his leg/hip area. He's a paramedic and it was the hip that he keeps his portable radio on. Makes ya think.

Default Cell phone health hazards
Studies show an alarming rate of brain cancer in some cell phone users and radiation from mobile phone calls disturbs sleep. Also response times speed up when people are esposed to radio frequency signals from mobile phones.

Your comments please.

Yeah, its one of those things it's hard to say yet because mobiles are a relatively new invention. All I can say is, you wouldn't hold a microwave to your head, would you? Personally I rarely use my mobile anyway.
